MolecularMatch is making personalized medicine a reality with a web-based platform that uses a patient's own genetic sequencing data to find targeted drugs and trials perfectly matched to fight their disease. The platform uses proprietary clinical algorithms and web-scale data mining tools to build a knowledge base of current drug, trial & research data.

My assignment was to develop software to automate the iPod-based iOS BiO-Assay’s™ analysis process. The software system I developed incorporates image processing technologies and pharmaceutical data modeling. This software is now a fundamental component of our newly released product, providing analysis services for clients such as Genentech, AstraZeneca and Houston Methodist. Additionally, I actively participated on marketing and customer service teams where I can incorporate feedback to improve/enhance the software. This work was generating viral genomics data very fast, and I am developed new programs to sort through, make predictions and analyze it. One project I have worked on is a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm to evolve peptides. We directed their evolution in-silico towards the physicochemical properties of peptides we found from an in-vitro evolution experiment. This work introduced me to evolutionary algorithms and high performance computing.
